Battle Energy

From Dragon Mania Legends (DML) Wiki

Battle Energy is the driving force needed to engage in fights on the Campaign Map and in the Dragon League. Energy is consumed whenever a battle commences and must regenerate on its own over a period of rest or be recovered through other means. Usage and recovery of Battle Energy will differ depending upon where it is being used.

Portal Energy[edit]

Portal Energy Bolt.png

Portal Energy Portal Energy Bolt.png is the energy used on the Campaign Map for the Normal Mode and Heroic Mode campaigns each time a battle is fought. Portal Energy regenerates automatically at a rate of 1 unit every 25 minutes, up to the maximum base amount. It can also be recovered through the use of Portal Gems (at the cost of 1 Portal Gems Icon.png per energy), purchasing with Gems (at the cost of 3 Gems Icon.png per energy), leveling up, or upgrading the Ancient Portal. Both methods fully replenish the energy; there is no option to select the amount of energy to replenish. The only way to replenish the energy in smaller amounts is to use small amounts at a time and then a Trainer can replenish the amount remaining to maximum. The Portal Energy can be refilled by three different methods: by pressing the Inventory Icon.png button in the right-hand side of the screen and then the     Use     button under the Portal Gem(s), by pressing the + button while on the Campaign Map, and by trying to engage a battle without any energy left (which will bring up the refill screen from where the energy can be refilled either with Portal Gems or Gems).

The base amount of energy is determined by the level of the Ancient Portal, the initial amount being three while the maximum is nine. Trainers with an active VIP Status receive additional energy to their base amount. VIP levels 1-9 receive two energy units, VIP levels 10-18 receive three energy units and VIP levels 19-20 receive four energy units (thus the Trainer can have up to a maximum of thirteen energy units).

It costs 1 unit of energy to engage in a battle on Normal Mode and two units of energy for a battle on Heroic Mode. In addition to being used to start battles, Trainers can also opt to hire a friend's Dragon to aid in battles using Portal Energy.

Hiring Costs[edit]

The Portal Energy cost that is needed to hire Dragons from friends before going into a battle depends on the level of the hired Dragon. To engage in battle with a hired Dragon, the Trainer will need the amount of energy needed to hire the Dragon plus the amount of energy needed to commence the battle (1 in Normal Mode and two in Heroic Mode).

Level Range Energy Cost
1-5 1
6-11 2
12-15 3
16-20 4
21-29 5
30-35 6
36-70 7
71-100 9

Arena Energy[edit]

Arena Energy Bolt.png

Arena Energy Arena Energy Bolt.png is the energy used in the Dragon League each time a battle is fought. Arena Energy automatically regenerates at a rate of 1 every 1 hour and 30 minutes, up to the maximum base amount. It can also be recovered through Arena Gems (at the cost of 1 Arena Gem per energy), through Gems (at the cost of 25 Gems per energy), or through leveling up. Both methods fully replenish the energy and there is no option of choosing the amount of energy desired for replenishing when using Gems or Arena Gems. The only way to replenish the energy in smaller amounts is to use small amounts at a time and then a Trainer can replenish the amount remaining to maximum. The Arena Energy can be refilled three different ways: by pressing the Inventory Icon.png button in the right-hand side of the screen and then the     Use     button under the Arena Gem(s), by pressing the + button in the main screen of the Dragon League, and by trying to engage a battle without any energy left (which will bring up the refill screen from where the energy can be refilled either with Arena Gems or Gems).

The base amount of energy is four. There is no way to increase the maximum base amount of Arena Energy other than by purchasing VIP Status. VIP levels 1-9 receive two energy units, VIP levels 10-18 receive three energy units, and VIP levels 19-20 receive four energy units (thus the Trainer can have a maximum of eight energy units). Fighting in the Dragon League requires 1 energy for a regular battle and two energy for a focused attack. A focused attack temporarily enhances all of the Trainer's Dragons' current Attack by 50% for that battle.

Sigil Energy[edit]

Sigil Energy Bolt.png

Sigil Energy Sigil Energy Bolt.png is the energy used on the Campaign Map for the Sigil Campaign each time a battle is fought. Sigil Energy regenerates automatically at a rate of 4 units every 24 hours, up to the maximum base amount of 4. It can also be recovered for the amount of 80 Gems for all 4 Sigil Energy, or 20 Gems per Sigil Energy if less than 4 is already used. Sigil Energy can be refilled by pressing the + button while on the Sigil Campaign, or by trying to engage a battle without any energy left (which will bring up the refill screen from where the energy can be refilled either with Gems).

It costs 1 unit of energy to engage in a battle on the Sigil Campaign.

Emerald Energy[edit]

Emerald Energy Icon.png

Emerald Energy Emerald Energy Icon.png is the energy used in the Emerald Wars each time a battle is fought. Every player has 6 Emerald Energy Icon.png at maximum as a base amount, and attacking a mine costs 1 Emerald Energy. If a Trainer's Dragon participates in a battle for controlling an emerald mine it needs to rest for a certain amount of time before it can fight again (it can be used outside the event while resting). The resting time can be skipped with Revitalization Tokens earned completing regular Clan Quests.

Emerald Energy automatically regenerates at a rate of 1 every 60 minutes, up to the maximum base amount. It can also be recovered through Revitalization Tokens (at the cost of 1 Revitalization Token per energy), through Gems (at the cost of 5 Gems per energy), or through leveling up. Both methods fully replenish the energy and there is no option of choosing the amount of energy desired for replenishing when using Gems or Revitalization Tokens. The only way to replenish the Emerald Energy in smaller amounts is to use small amounts at a time and then a Trainer can replenish the amount remaining to maximum. The Emerald Energy can be refilled by pressing the + button in the main screen of Emerald Wars, and by trying to engage a battle without any energy left (which will bring up the refill screen from where the energy can be refilled either with Revitalization Tokens or Gems).

Noteworthy Changes[edit]

  • Update 6.2 the Arena Energy regeneration rate changed from 40 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes and the cost for energy recovery rose to 25 Gems from 3 Gems per energy.
  • Update 3.2 gave more energy units, for both forms of energy, to Trainers of higher VIP levels.
