Ruins
From Dragon Mania Legends (DML) Wiki
***Information contained herein may be incorrect or incomplete and is subject to change.***
Across the various islands, there are six different ruins which can be explored by Dragons. Exploring ruins unlocks prizes and is the only way to obtain shards for Chronos. Each island, and its subsequent ruin, must be unlocked before the Trainer is allowed to explore the ruin.

Interface[edit]
Pressing on any ruin will bring up the Ruin Exploration window. The Trainer can see buttons for the current level Level 1 of their ruins, each of the 6 ruins, Chronos, and the Weekly Jackpot. Any ruin which has not yet been unlocked will display a lock icon in the bottom-right corner .
Unlocking Ruins[edit]
Each ruin is level-locked and the Trainer must reach a certain level before being able to unlock the related ruin. Once the required level is reached, the ruin must be unlocked before exploration can commence. By accessing the Ruin Exploration window, the Trainer can select the desired ruin to unlock and pay the required price. Trainers can pay using Gold or unlock the ruin instantly using Gems (each island having a different unlock or instant-unlock cost).

Exploring Ruins[edit]
Pressing the button for any unlocked ruin will bring up the exploration window for that ruin, providing the Trainer with corresponding ruin exploration options. On the left, the Trainer can select options for easy, medium, or hard exploration. Each level of difficulty displays the required rarity and level of Dragons required, the rewards that can be obtained from exploring the ruin, the time it takes to explore the ruin, Ruin XP to be earned, and a ruin chest.
Each visit requires the selection (or auto-selection) of three Dragons, meeting a minimum Dragon level requirement.
On the right of the screen, there is a section with 3 Dragon slots and the Auto-fill
and Start button below them. The Auto-fill and Start function auto-selects 3 Dragons meeting the Ruin exploration criteria and commences the Ruin exploration (using the last used difficulty selection, unless a Trainer first taps a difficulty). Alternatively, a Trainer may manually select a Dragon by pressing any empty slot to open the Dragon selection window. A Feed button appears in the Dragon selection window below Dragons that don't meet the level criteria for exploration. The selection of a Dragon subsequently fills that slot and returns the Trainer to the previous screen. Any slot currently filled with a Dragon can be tapped again to select a different Dragon. If Dragons are manually selected, the Auto-fill
and Start button changes to a Go! button after all three slots are filled, and pressing this commences Ruin exploration.
The amount of time required to explore a ruin can be skipped using Gems. All Ruins will display a chest icon above them once any one of the ongoing Explorations is finished. Tapping one of these icons will bring up the Interface Dialog, where the rewards can be collected.
Levels and Difficulty[edit]
Trainers can choose mission difficulty ranging from easy to hard, the harder they are, the stronger the Dragons they require; but they yield bigger bonuses and are also much quicker to explore. As Trainers explore they earn Ruin XP, which is used to level up a Trainer's ruins automatically when they meet a certain threshold. The amount of Ruin XP that must be obtained to progress to the next ruin level, changes as the trainer progresses.
To check the amount of Ruin XP required to reach the next level, a Trainer must press the Level button near the top-right of the Ruin exploration screen. A dialogue appears providing Ruin information and the bottom line of text indicates Ruin XP required for the next level followed by the amount of
the Trainer must obtain at any given time to reach the next Ruin level; pressing OK returns the Trainer to the previous Ruin exploration screen.
Ruin Exploration Time
Ruins have set times for exploration, regardless of ruin level:
- Easy - 8 hours
- Medium - 7 hours
- Hard - 6 hours

Leveling Difficulty
As ruins are leveled up, the Dragon levels and rarity required to continue exploring those ruins also increases. Trainers will not be able to explore a particular ruin until they have Dragons that fulfill the ruin's criteria. For example, if a Trainer gets promoted to a new ruin level and has Dragons that meet the Rarity criteria but not the Level criteria, they will not be able to explore that ruin, and need to feed their Dragons until they can meet that criteria.
Note: This also affects Clan Quests involving ruins, and Daily Tasks involving ruins. If a Trainer is promoted to a level they cannot search, they will be unable to complete these tasks until they can.
Rewards[edit]
After any ruin has been explored, a chest icon will be shown atop of all, and pressing it will bring the trainer to the Interface dialogue, where the prizes can be collected. Each chest may contain Gold, Food, (possible) Gems, Ruin XP, a chance to win the Weekly Jackpot prize (if there currently is one), and a chance to get a shard. These shards are used to unleash Chronos. Once Chronos is unleashed, the seals can be obtained again in order to level up Chronos and summon the Chronoids. Only a successful exploration can result in a chest containing a Chronosian Shard.

Shards[edit]
Chronosian Seals were long ago lost in the ruins, broken into 3 pieces each that can be found as the Trainer's Dragon's explore. The Trainer can see the shards that can or have been collected thus far in the top-right of each Ruin exploration screen. Once all 3 shards are found, they can be forged back into 6 separate seals. When all 6 seals are collected, Chronos will be unsealed from its stone statue and will begin decreasing timers whenever its power is used.
Each time a Shard is found all running timers on the Islands get decreased by 45 Minutes.
Each Chronosian Shard has a different drop rate, depending on the ruin, the Chest difficulty and the part itself.

Chronos[edit]
The Chronos button can be used to see the collection of seals. When pressed, the Trainer can view seals that need to be collected, need to be forged, or have been completely collected and forged. A Find This Seal button appears on those seals that have not yet been collected. A green checkmark appears on seals that have been collected and forged. A Forge! button appears on seals when shards have been collected but need to be forged into a seal. Pressing the Forge button provides the Trainer with a Restore Chronosian Seal dialog featuring an image of the seal when made whole, as well as a Forge Seal! button which can be used to forge the seal.
Weekly Jackpot[edit]
The Weekly Jackpot button houses additional prize(s) that can be obtained by opening Ruin Chests. When the Weekly Jackpot is active, the i button displays information about the current week's jackpot. When no Weekly Jackpot is active, "Coming soon!" appears on the button, and pressing the i button reveals the message: "Jackpot Reward: No jackpot reward is available at the moment. Please check back later."
