From Dragon Mania Legends (DML) Wiki

Welcome to the Dragon Mania Legends (DML) Wiki! Thank you for taking your time to contribute!
Here are a few tips to help you become an even better editor:

To help fill in missing content, you can check visit:

We always need lots of help with the following:
But be sure to check the Manual of Style first.

Commenting on Talk and User Talk pages is different than commenting in the forums:

  • Only add comments on Talk (Discussion) pages or the Wiki Support page.
  • Always sign/date your comment by typing four tildes: ~~~~.
  • Start a new comment thread at the bottom of the page via Actions > Edit (Source) and typing ==Topic title== followed by the topic text on the next line.
  • To reply to a comment in an existing thread, click the Edit (Source) link next to the topic you want to reply to. Scroll to the bottom and begin your comment with one colon ( : ) per each level it needs to be indented (remember to sign your comment):
    • Thread post - (no colon)text(signature) ~~~~
    • 1st reply - : (one colon)text(signature) ~~~~
    • 2nd reply - :: (two colons)text(signature) ~~~~

Creating the DD page[edit]

Hey. Thanks for helping out. The only thing I want to mention is that I pre-created the event in the chronicle without knowing what it would be called - thus the Dragon's Delight naming. We then create the page with the proper name (or move it as I did with yours).
You still saved me some work, so thanks again. | -- SoukupMi -- (talk / EMail) 21:58, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Dragon Icons[edit]

All dragon icons are created by Kimberly. Don't take it personally if she replaces one that you created.
Все иконки драконов созданы Кимберли. Не принимайте это на свой счет, если она заменит тот, который вы создали.| -- SoukupMi -- (talk / EMail) 22:38, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Unreleased Content + Contributions[edit]

Thanks for the edits. My appologies and a correction: When you are creating new incomplete pages for dragons or other content that is missing information, please add the {{Unreleased}} tag to the top of regular pages and {{uncertain}} for dragon pages. This lets users know that the information is incomplete (missing content) and subject to change. Often editors will wait to fill out pages until the content is released in-game and complete and fill in other missing (released) content on the wiki such as dragon descriptions and codex descriptions.

Also, if you want users to see a list of your contributions to the wiki, there is a page automatically generated by Mediawiki for this [[Special:Contributions/GerminisDragon]] that you can link to. Using this users can see the complete history, changes, edits, and whether or not the content is still currently in use (marked by the Current tag). You might find your autogenerated Contributions list to be more complete/accurate. Your list, Special:Contributions/GerminisDragon also updates itself automatically which might be easier to manage. I hope that helps! :) Cryscryb2 (Talk/EMail) 19:03, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

in addition - for Dragon Pages that are not officially released and pre-created add a {{Uncertain}} at the beginning.
Thanks | -- SoukupMi -- (talk / EMail) 20:14, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
Thanks Michael, I updated at the same time you did to add your recommendation, sorry! lol Cryscryb2 (Talk/EMail) 20:20, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for the information and tips[edit]

Well, I think it's not bad that I make such a table, I like to write, if you can't, I can delete it if I have to.- unsigned comment from GerminisDragon (talk)

I didn't say it was bad, that is a misinterpretation. Tips, changes, and feedback are always intended to be helpful, please keep that in mind when reading and interpreting them. Instead of creating a new topic on your own talk page as to use as a reply since it now shows in your Table of Contents as a discussion topic, (this is a TIP) you might keep in mind (or add to the top of your talk page as a reminder):
Commenting on user talk pages is different than commenting in the forums...
  1. Sign and date your comment by typing four tildes: ~~~~.
  2. Start a new comment by clicking Add topic link at the top of this page.
  3. Add a comment to an existing thread by clicking the Edit link next to the title of the topic that you want to comment on. Scroll to the bottom and begin your comment with a colon ( : ). If your comment is not the first response to a thread, add one colon for every comment position following the first, including the comment you are creating:
  • Thread post - (no colon) Your text ~~~~ (signature)
  • 1st comment - : (one colon) Your text ~~~~ (signature)
  • 2nd comment - :: (two colons) Your text ~~~~ (signature) (and so on)
I hope that helps! Cryscryb2 (Talk/EMail) 19:02, 28 May 2019 (UTC) Cryscryb2
I'm begging you, but I can't understand how your codes work, well, I don't know much about it, I use media wikis and everything that is written about this or that function, and if there is a possibility to optimize this table somehow, tell me how to take less space on the server for you- unsigned comment from GerminisDragon (talk)
I do not know of a way to optimize a manually written table. I suggested linking to your contributions as an alternative, if you prefer a table that is fine. :) Most wiki regular wiki users know how find and view the User Contributions Special page already, or if they don't they can do so through the Recent Changes page. No worries. Good job with the reply using colons (:)!
PS. I add four tild symbols: ~~~~ at the end of my messages, and this automatically displays my name/signiture as well as a date and time stamp, when the page is saved, like this: Cryscryb2 (Talk/EMail) 05:51, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

what kind of supplement you've added to LocalSettings.php[edit]

If you don't mind, you can tell me which addons you have added to the LocalSettings.php file, I just want to create a wiki like you do for Russian-speaking people only. Thank you in advance, I don't need the file itself just to name them- unsigned comment from GerminisDragon (talk)

There is a translate tool built right into this wiki (right side of this page) so I don't think there is a need to copy it in order to translate it into a different language. I believe part of the concept of a wiki is to have it be usable across languages without having to create multiple copies of the same site. Perhaps Soukupmi can clarify further though. Also, it might be helpful to post your questions not on your own talk page (to yourself) but on the talk page of the person you are asking (see the Staff list). Cryscryb2 (Moderator) (Talk|Contribs|EMail) 17:30, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
I can tell you why I started making wikis on the wikimedia engine, because the translator is a machine translator and that's why it's a bad translation, and you know that a lot of people don't understand machine translation, so I started making wikis like yours only in Russian, and I'd also like to know what kind of hosting you have or your own server? - unsigned comment from GerminisDragon (talk)
It is not my site, I am just a Moderator/Contributor. Good luck.Cryscryb2 (Moderator) (Talk|Contribs|EMail) 18:39, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
Well, I understand, I'm sorry to bother you, but you won't tell me how to get in touch with the Administrator General of this project. - unsigned comment from GerminisDragon (talk)

Posting on talk pages[edit]

Hey
You have to sign you comments with ~~~~, NOT with {{unsigned|...}}.
Keep that in mind, please. | -- SoukupMi -- (talk / EMail) 20:44, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Body-Shapes[edit]

When creating a new page for a Dragon, please be sure to confirm the correct body-shape for that Dragon by referring to the Body shapes page. You mistakenly designated the Leo Dragon as having a stout body style. Thank you for your contributions. --~*Kimberly*~--(talk) 02:21, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
