Area of Effect

(Redirected from Area Damage)Area of Effect (AoE) is a game term to describe attacks or other effects that affect multiple targets within a specified area. The effect will influence any Dragon a certain radius of where it strikes. Some AoE Skills will have an area of effect that will influence any Dragon within the radius of the strike zone (all Dragons) and others may only hit 2 Dragons. Often the effect is stronger on the target than on any other Dragon hit.
Area of Effect can also refer to skills that are non-damaging. For example, healing skill may affect Dragons around the caster. The inclusion of AoE elements in game mechanics can increase the role of strategy.
Area Damage is a subsection of AoE with only Negative Effects.
