(Redirected from Boss Dragons)

Boss Dragons are Dragons with special powers that can be unlocked and bought in exchange for Gems (except Overlord). These Dragons cannot breed or be bred, and they cannot be used in Battle, their sole purpose is to enhance the obtainment of Resources.

The "Boss" rank has to be earned; no one can breed a Boss Dragon. Although they won't participate in battles, feel free to let them walk around your islands and help other dragons.

Obtaining

Most Boss Dragons can only be obtained by first completing their battles on the Campaign Map to unlock them. A Major Boss Quest Icon.png Boss Quest is indicated by a large red button with a white skull symbol, with the Boss Dragon to be defeated sitting atop it. Once defeated in Normal Mode, the Boss Dragon becomes available for the Trainer to purchase, and a special offer window appears providing the Get This Boss Dragon Now! button to purchase the Dragon, or the Continue button to resume battling.

For a short amount of time, the Dragon cost is 50% percent off, though once dismissed the special offer cannot be obtained if the same Dragon is fought again and defeated. Identical Boss Dragons can be bought multiple times only if they are offered in a bundle, sale, or promotion. Otherwise, each of them can be bought only once. If all Boss Dragons are owned, the Boss Collector Badge.png Boss Collector badge is awarded.

Duplicates

The Trainer cannot possess more than one of the same species of Boss Dragon unless that Dragon is made available for purchase in a bundle, promotion, or sale. Since some Dragons must be present on islands to purchase a duplicate, those obtained through a method apart from buying or breeding, will likely never be obtainable again if sold.

Housing

These Dragons can only be placed in a Boss Habitat, the Eternal Fruit Tree or stored in the Dragon Vault.

A big home for the BIG bosses.

Appearance

Boss Dragons are based upon regular Dragons, the difference being they have a much larger size; most also have a golden chest plate with an aqua centerpiece equipped, or side plates with the same design, or carrying golden gauntlets. They have no baby form; however, their eggs are the same as their standard counterparts. Additionally, Boss Dragons do not have given names; thus they cannot be renamed.

Temporary Boss Dragons

While there are only 33 true Boss Dragons in the game, some Dragons can be temporarily turned into Bosses when encountered in limited battles, such as those found in Castle Events and Relay Events. These Boss-like Dragons follow the same principles as normal Boss Dragons, but without having the distinctive golden plates and only bearing their species name.

Overview

The total cost of all Boss Dragons is 66,908 Gems.

Stats

With very few exceptions, all Boss Dragons have their stats enhanced by four times of that of their regular counterpart. These exceptions are Atlas and Mr. Popsicle, who have their own custom Base Attack.

Powers

Each Boss Dragon has specific powers; most cause all regular Dragons to produce their Gold an additional 10% faster per Boss Dragon with that power, where a few others produce items or increase the powers of other Boss Dragons. Boss Dragons do not produce Gold or participate in any battle, and cannot be leveled. Only enemy Boss Dragons, controlled by the game, can participate in battles and can have levels higher than 1.

Dragons that increase gold production

Each Boss Dragon bought determines all regular Dragons to produce their Gold an additional 10% faster per Boss Dragon. The amount of additional Gold a Dragon will produce per hour as a result of this bonus will be shown in parentheses next to their regular Gold production displayed when inspecting a Dragon inside its Habitat.

Note: The cost of all dragons in this table is 46,908 Gems.
