Definition quick-reference
- Formatting templates – Format smaller parts of other layouts or templates.
- Design templates – Generally ready-to-use layout or design templates.
- Data templates – Hold, fetch, evaluate, or do logical tasks to strings or data (e.g., extraction, conversion), and return values.
- May also format data specifically for data extensions.
- Technical templates – Do other small technical tasks, typically for use in other templates (e.g., table rows, counters, magic words, references, listing, documenting, categorizing, scrolling, display a counter etc.).
- Calculation templates – Do math, return numeric values.
