This is the base category for templates on the DML Wiki. Templates should be placed in appropriate subcategories. More information about MediaWiki templates can be found here.

Definition quick-reference

• Formatting templates – Format smaller parts of other layouts or templates.
• Design templates – Generally ready-to-use layout or design templates.
• Data templates – Hold, fetch, evaluate, or do logical tasks to strings or data (e.g., extraction, conversion), and return values.
  • May also format data specifically for data extensions.
• Technical templates – Do other small technical tasks, typically for use in other templates (e.g., table rows, counters, magic words, references, listing, documenting, categorizing, scrolling, display a counter etc.).
• Calculation templates – Do math, return numeric values.
