Dragon Pieces
From Dragon Mania Legends (DML) Wiki
Dragon Pieces are segments of a Dragon collected to obtain a full Dragon when all the required pieces are collected. Dragon Pieces are used to obtain Card-Segment Dragons and Clan Dragons. Each Dragon Piece obtained is automatically added to the collective tally of pieces needed for the specific Dragon it matches.
Obtaining
There are several ways to collect pieces for Card-Segment Dragons, some are only won from prize cards or packs awarded events, Mystery Gifting, or the Dragon League. Regular and Promotional Card Packs are packs available for purchase. Clan Dragons and Clan-Exclusive Dragons are won through Card Packs specific to Clan Events.
Card Packs
Dragon Pieces that are bought or won through card packs give standard Dragon cards or Clan Dragon cards; though, some Dragon Pieces won are awarded directly as cards on a prize screen. The Dragon cards given are first presented face down, their card back images and colors represent the Dragon's type or Rarity. The cards are then flipped over to reveal the piece quantity and species given.

Regular Card Packs
Regular Card Packs are packs obtainable at any time from the Main Shop by pressing the Card Packs filter option, and are sometimes prizes in Events. A One-Card Pack can be obtained every 12 hours for watching a Video. The Three-Card Pack is available in the Clans interface by pressing the Clan Shop button, then paying the required Clan Coins. And, a free Five-Card Pack is given the first time a Trainer becomes a Clan member.
