Fountain of Youth is a building used to turn adult (Level 4 and above) Dragons back to their baby form, through a process known as babifying.

Obtaining

The Fountain is unlocked once Quest 2 (Mountain Trail) in Normal Mode Icon.png Normal Mode is defeated. The building costs 200,000 Gold Icon.png Gold, takes 8 hours to build, and yields 8,000 Experience Icon.png Experience when completed.

Buildings Functions

The following function buttons appear when the building is selected:

  1. Babify Button.png Babify (or Adultify) – to change a Dragon's form (appears if no process is in-progress).
  2. Speed-Up 2 Button.png Speed up – to accelerate building processes (appears when babification or adultification is in-progress).
  3. Sell Button.png Sell – to sell the building (appears if no process is in-progress).

Babification or Adultification

Babifying (or adultification) is performed by selecting the Fountain of Youth, pressing the Babify Button.png Babify button button, selecting a dragon, and then either pressing the Select Dragon button to change the selection, or pressing the Babify!   15 Gems Icon.png button to confirm the selection.

Babifying costs 15 Gems Icon.png Gems and takes 12 hours to complete. Dragons in the Dragon Vault cannot be babified, they must first be placed in a Habitat Icon.png Habitat. When babification is finished, the Babify Notification Icon.png Babify Notification appears above the fountain.

Adultification, the process of reversing babification, is free and is done the same way, but after selecting a babified Dragon, the Grow Up! button appears instead of the Babify!   15 Gems Icon.png button. Once returned to adult form, if babification is desired again, the same number of Gems must be paid.

Effect

Babification is purely cosmetic, it does not affect the attributions of a Dragon. Babified Dragons keep their Dragon Levels, stats, and skills. They can also battle, explore Ruins, and breed as normal, and they revert temporarily to their adult form when battling, exploring, or breeding but do not revert to adult form while fed and leveled.

Babify Festival

The Babify Festival takes place, for a period of 24 hours, usually on the first of every month starting at 12:00 GMT. During this time, the cost to babify is reduced to 1 Gem Icon.png Gem.

Time Reduction

Selecting the building during building, babification, or adultification provides a Speed-Up 2 Button.png speed-up option, displaying the number of Gems Icon.png Gems required to skip the remaining time. Using this option displays the time left until the current process is finished, and the SKIP ALL   Gems Icon.png button to skip the remaining time.

Gem cost for skipping timers is calculated based upon the formula: (TimeInSeconds ^ -0.46) * 0.12 * TimeInSeconds, and is rounded up by 1 if it is between the 1-10 range, and by 5 if it is between the 10-100 range. For example:

Outside the Fountain of Youth, babification, adultification, and construction time can also be reduced through forging Chronosian Seals or activating Chronos Icon.png Chronos's power.

Only the construction time is reduced through Timer Boosts Icon.png Timer Boosts (bonuses offered by visiting Trainers).

Selling

The building is sold at any time (except when in use or being built), in exchange for 50,000 Gold Icon.png Gold, by pressing the Sell Button.png Sell button.

Moving

The building size is squares. A single object is moved by pressing and holding it until move options activate, indicated by X Edit Mode Icon.png Check Mark Icon.png buttons below it and move arrows on each side. Green move arrows indicate sufficient space in the currently chosen area to place an item, gray arrows indicate not enough. Move the object by dragging, or by pressing the move arrows or the destination, then press the Check Mark Icon.png or X button to accept or cancel.

Edit Mode moves multiple objects, once move options are activated as described above, after pressing the Edit Mode Icon.png button. Moving or swapping instructions appear:

  • Select one or more objects to move them at the same time.
  • Swap two objects by selecting them and pressing the Swap Icon.png button.
  • Store multiple objects in inventory by selecting them and pressing the Inventory Icon.png Inventory button (for eligible buildings or objects only).

Dragging or pressing a destination a does not move objects in Edit Mode, the initial state is selection-only; instead, pressing the Move Icon.png Move button enables these options, the base of all objects turns green or gray indicating if there's enough space to move the items to as a unit.

  • Selected objects are moved exactly parallel to their former positions, any destination must have the corresponding spaces freed for a successful move.
  • The Inventory Icon.png Inventory button only appears if all selected items are eligible for inventory storage, and appears below the last item selected.
  • Objects cannot be selected from different islands at the same time.
