Sigils are a magic-infused symbols added to Dragons to grant them extra powers in battle. Sigils are unlocked at Trainer's Level 20, and provide a way to fine-tune a Dragon fighting team's abilities.

Obtaining Sigils

Sigil Tower.png

Sigils can be obtained by collecting the daily key provided by the Sigil Tower. After 3 keys are obtained, a Sigil Chest can be opened, which typically awards 3 Sigils and an amount of Sigil Trinkets. Sigils can also be obtained from Sigil Chests awarded in events, and by obtaining 3-stars in battles on the Sigil Campaign.

Schools

There are fifteen Sigils in total across three different categories called Schools. These Schools are the School of Growth, the School of Power, and the School of Shelter. Each School contains five Sigils, each with its own unique powers.

Sigil Synergy Boost

The different Sigil Schools can also provide an additional boost to your team. Equipping 4 Sigils of the same Sigil School across the fighting team activates a Sigil Synergy which will provide one of three different effects for the whole team:

School of Growth: Boosts the effect of all equipped School of Growth Sigils by 25%.
School of Power: Each round, a random opponent receives damage equal to 8% of its max HP.
School of Shelter: Reduces direct damage taken by 25%.

Equipping Sigils

Sigils are equipped:

  • From the Sigil Tower by pressing the large Equip Sigil button, pressing the snapshot of a Dragon to select one, pressing the Equip Sigil button, and then selecting a Sigil to equip and pressing the Equip button.
  • From inside a Habitat by Visiting a Dragon, pressing the Sigil Tower Icon.png Equip Sigil button, selecting a Sigil to equip, and then pressing the Equip button.
  • From a Snapshot in the Dragon Codex by pressing the desired snapshot, pressing the Sigil Tower Icon.png Equip Sigil button, pressing the Equip Sigil button, selecting a sigil to equip, and then pressing the Equip button.

Note: The following Badges can be earned with certain Sigils equipped:

Compatibility

Sigils can only be equipped to Dragons of the same or lower rarity, so a Common-rarity dragon can only be equipped with Common Sigils, while a Legendary, Divine, or Ancient Dragon can be equipped with all five rarity types. A Dragon can only carry a type of Sigil (for example, Wonder) once, it cannot be equipped with the same Sigil twice; however, a Sigil of the same kind can be equipped to different Dragons on the same team. Each Dragon can only carry a maximum of two Sigils.

Sigil Planner The DML Planner Sigils function allows Trainers to experiment with and determine which Sigils provide the best strength to their team to match their given strategy. When experimented with outside the game, sigil configurations can be applied and tested without spending Sigil Trinkets, which can be a precious resource.

Sigil Powers

The power of each Sigil can have a significant effect on battle. The selection of Sigils should be carefully thought out, not only to enhance a Dragon's elements and the team's powers, but also to consider the utility of creating a Sigil Synergy.

MAX HP and Attack Bonus

All Sigils have different MAX HP and damage bonus percentages based on their rarity. The bonuses per rarity and Sigil are as follows:

  1. Items denoted with a * are passive skills, skills that remain activate on their own after first casting, without the need to recast it. An example of this being Vengeful Sword, after being cast on the Trainer’s team, it will automatically strike back on opponents without needing to be recast, the Trainer can remain passive while the effect is in place.
  2. The Dominance skill remains in effect on the target ally for 2 turns; however, immunity for all allies to new negative only remains in effect for 1 turn.

Changing or Removing Sigils

Sigils are changed or removed:

  • From the Sigil Tower by pressing the large Equip Sigil button, pressing the snapshot of a Dragon to select one, then pressing either the Change   Sigil Trinket Icon.png or the Unequip   Sigil Trinket Icon.png button.
  • From inside a Habitat by Visiting a Dragon, pressing the Sigil Tower Icon.png Equip Sigil button, then pressing either the Change   Sigil Trinket Icon.png or the Unequip   Sigil Trinket Icon.png button.

Cost

The cost of changing a Sigil is the same as for removing (unequipping) one, and is linked to Sigil rarity.

Fusing Sigils

To obtain rarer Sigils, Trainers will need to fuse lower-quality Sigils together. Through Fusion, a Trainer can combine multiple copies of the same Sigil into a single, higher-quality version. This process removes the lower quality trinkets in the process of fusion into the higher-quality Sigil.

History

  • Update 5.9: Made each buff Sigil increase damage dealt by the dragon it is equipped to, based on the rarity of the Sigil, rather than having equal buff percentages, so one Sigil may have a larger Damage percentage boost than another.
    • Changed the Health Bonus for Sigils and added an Attack Bonus as well as a Dragon Fury Bonus. See update page for old details.
