Noteworthy Changes[edit source | edit]

Achievements	Added the Ultimate Breeder (1000 Dragons) and 8th-Anniversary Badges.
Dragon Codex	Added four new Stage Collections, namely Deceptive Tales, Swashbuckling Tales, Odd Tales, and Magical Tales; each collection awarding a special habitat if completed, and if all four were completed, it formed a Megabitat.
Social System	Introduced a Gift All option and discontinued individual gifting. Renamed the Messages & Gifts button to be Messages and moved claiming gifts to the top of the Friends Social System menu, beside the Gift All button.
Divine Islands	Introduced Return to The Rift.
Islands	Some hidden tiles on Distant Marsh, Lost World, Hatchling's Playpen, Steam Fields (of Tycoon Island), and Gem Island were removed. Restarting the game after freeing these tiles render them blocked.
Ruins	Introduced the Seasonal Buff item, that unlocks a special Seasonal Treasure ruin exploration bonus rewards event. The Seasonal Buff is unlocked from a major event's (e.g., Tyrant Event's) non-premium Milestone Rewards. Seasonal Treasure item holders can then continue to explore the Ruins for extra rewards.
Dragon Grid Events	Reduced the cost of revival and shields from 30 to 15 Gems. Changed energy pool amounts and time to regenerate. Made the story unlock in earlier levels. Reduced difficulty scaling to be more gradual. Added additional reward chests. Increased the maximum Power capacity from 40 to 50 once the Bottomless Dungeon Dragon was obtained. Moved what would formerly be a Collection Event (Tyrant) Dragon to instead be obtained via Dragon Pieces available inside Puzzle Grid chests.
Tyrant Islands	Introduced The Dormant Volcano event.
Megabitats	Introduced Megabitats. Added the Fairytale Megabitat. Added the Magic Grotto Megabitat.
