The event took place during the Prisoners of the Northern Lights Tyrant event series.

Synopsis

Chest opening events are events where a Chest can only be opened in exchange for 1 Ticket, the Tickets being dependent on the Chest type — either Tyrant, Ancient, or Divine. Each time it is opened, it gives two cards — one being a guaranteed Dragon Piece, and the other a random prize including Food, Gold, a VIP Ticket, or a Decoration. Pressing the i button displays chest contents which are limitless; thus, the Trainer can win the same prizes over and over, including Dragon Pieces for already-collected Dragons.

Between one and 10 Chests can be opened at the same time, provided the necessary amount of tickets is possessed. One free Chest for (usually) every 25 chests opened is given, and during some events, three guaranteed matching Dragon Pieces for the main reward Dragon for (usually) every 100 chests opened. If duplicates of a Dragon are obtained, the choice of keeping the duplicate Get Dragon is given, or exchanging it Get Ticket for 1 Ticket. The exchange can only take place immediately after a Chest is opened, and the duplicate has been obtained.

Dragons

Holy Talismans are a form of currency that can be spent only in the Shop's Dragons section, in exchange for Dragon Pieces. Each dragon unlocks after a specific amount of Dragon Grid levels are cleared, their pieces can then be obtained by pressing the Get Pieces button on the snapshot of the desired dragon.

The Get Pieces button provides a place to "trade in" holy talismans for Dragon pieces, without the use of an altar.
