Codex issue

To avoid edit warring, I didn't want to undo the edit but the in-game codex spells out "dragon" geniunely. BigEarsQuake 2 ^(T/C) 10:40, 11 April 2024 (PDT)

Yeah, sorry, it was reflex on my part to enforce our rules. The background: A long time ago, someone on the team set this rule for our wiki (you can see it in the Manual of Style that the word "Dragon" is always to be capitalized. However, it seems much more appropriate to only capitalize it when used in proper names or titles. I'll ask the team what they think BEQ, as I'd like to get rid of that (arbitrary to me) rule, and do the proper thing of only capitalizing it when it is in a proper name (like Typhoon Dragon, which makes way more sense... but maybe there was a reason they did this that I'm not aware of). Going with something because it has "always been that way" isn't always a good reason. I think the issue may be, how many pages and templates already use this convention... i.e., it may create a tremendous amount of work, so maybe that's why the rule stands. Also, game text often carries mistakes, to adhere to our wiki rules we fix them (we try to follow exactly, except in the case of mistakes or conflicts with our own rules). | -- CrystalClear -- (talk) 12:59, 13 April 2024 (PDT)
