Buildings.png

Buildings are structures Build Icon.png that often need to be purchased, built, and upgraded Upgrade Icon.png to progress in the game. Some buildings are essential to unlock needed features for Breeding, Hatching, Training, and battling Dragons. Other buildings offer practicality to Trainers, such as the Gold Vault, which allows Gold to be collected from all Habitats at once, but is limited to Trainers with an active VIP Status. Other buildings deal with aesthetics, such as the Fountain of Youth, which restores the baby form of any adult Dragon while allowing them to keep their enhancements, levels, and skills.

Building Actions

Some buildings, after being selected, have options for various actions:

  • Information 2 Button.png – Provides information about the building (if available).
  • Upgrade Button.png – To access upgrade options (if upgradable and an upgrade is available).
  • Sell Button.png – To sell the building (if sellable).
  • Inventory Button.png – To store the building in inventory Inventory Icon.png (if eligible for storage).

Obtaining

Some buildings are available at game start, some are unlocked by meeting certain prerequisites, and others must be purchased. Purchasing a building is done by accessing the Main Shop, selecting the Food Gathering Event Icon.png Buildings tab, selecting a building for purchase, and then placing it in an available island space.

Construction

Construction Scaffolding.png

While there are buildings that are constructed instantly after purchase, others may require a requisite amount of construction time to pass before the building can be used. Buildings under construction display construction scaffolding around them until the construction time has passed, and the building is tapped to finish construction, at which time the construction scaffolding disappears. A timer appears over the building itself, providing the time remaining until construction can be completed.

Note: See the page for each individual building's page to determine purchasing costs or upgrade times (if applicable).

Time Reduction

Construction time can be skipped in exchange for Gems Icon.png Gems. This is done by pressing selecting the building, pressing the Speed-Up 2 Button.png button, and then in the Speed up construction Construction Signpost.png dialogue that appears, pressing the Skip All Gems Icon.png button to confirm the spend amount. Members of a Clan have the added option, in the same dialog, to reduce construction timers by using a Clan Fortress Power. The relevant power reduces all ongoing construction timers in exchange for a Clan currency by an amount dependent on Clan Fortress Level and League. Occasionally, a Yellow-Bordered Time Reduction Icon.png notification may appear above a building, notifying when an ad video speed-up is available in the aforementioned speed-up dialogue.

See Clan Fortress Powers and Clan Leagues for more information.

Sizes

Each building requires a certain amount of size to place it on an island. Though construction scaffolding may make it appear as though a building undergoing construction takes up more space, they occupy the same amount of space during construction as they do immediately after construction has completed. Below is a table listing the sizes, in squares, for all the movable buildings in the game.

Moving Buildings

A single object is moved by pressing and holding it until move options activate, indicated by X Edit Mode Icon.png Check Mark Icon.png buttons below it and colored move arrows on each side. Green move arrows indicate sufficient placeable space, gray arrows indicate not enough. Moved the object by dragging, tapping the move arrows, or tapping the destination, then pressing Check Mark Icon.png. A moved is cancelled by pressing X.

Edit Mode can be used to move multiple objects at once, when move options are activated as described above, press the Edit Mode Icon.png button. Once enabled, moving or swapping instructions appear:

  • Select one or more objects to move them at the same time.
  • Swap two objects by selecting them and tapping Swap Icon.png.
  • Store multiple objects in inventory by selecting them and tapping Inventory Icon.png (eligible buildings/objects only).

Dragging or tapping does not move objects in Edit Mode, the initial state is selection-only; instead, tapping the Move (Green) Icon.png button enables dragging or tapping, the base of all objects turn green or gray indicating if there's enough placeable space to move the items to as a unit.

Added Edit Mode Notes
  • Selected objects are moved exactly parallel to their former positions, any chosen destination must have the corresponding spaces freed and placeable for a successful move.
  • If all selected items are eligible to moved into inventory, the Inventory Icon.png Inventory button appears below the last item selected, pressing it moves these into inventory; the button does not appear if any item is ineligible for inventory.
  • Objects cannot be selected from different islands at the same time.
