Social System Button.png

The Social System groups several social functions into one screen. Through this interface, Trainers can socialize with, help, befriend, recruit, or team up in a Clan Icon.png Clan with others for unique benefits. The Social System unlocks at Trainer Level 3.

The Social System menu is accessed by pressing:

  • The Social System Icon.png button on the main (islands) screen.
  • Some individual social features by pressing:

Clan (Social System) Button.png

  2. Friends – to add, visit, gift, help, and be helped by friends.

Clan Button (Social).png

The Clan interface can be accessed by pressing:

If the Trainer is not in a Clan, the Join or Create a Clan option appears; otherwise, the main Clan screen appears.

See Clans for complete information about Clans.

Friends Button.png

See Wiki Friend Page for a list of Trainers seeking friends.

The Friends option houses functions related to friends and connections (including to social networks) and is composed of multiple tabbed sections.

Friend List

The  Friends ⁣ tab lists all current friends. ⁣Friends can be added from various places, including Player Profiles Icon.png Player Profiles, Clan member lists, leaderboards and other tabs of the Friends area. Up to 200 friends are displayed in the friend list; if there are more than 200 friends, only the first 200 appear. Above the list are gifting options, which are explained in the Gifting Icon.png Gifting section of this page.

An internal sorting ID for each friend determines which friends show up on the list, these are not visible to the player. The list displays the friends' avatar (if available), Player Level, nickname, interaction tag, Dragon Collector Points Icon.png Dragon Collector Points, VIP Level Icon.png VIP Level (if VIP Status is active), time since online (depending on privacy settings), a Badge Icon.png Badge (if applied), and the ••• button, which when pressed provides access to more options:

  •  Visit ⁣ – to Visit a Trainer's islands.
  • Clan Invite – to invite a friend to the current Clan (appears when in a Clan and privacy settings permit invitation).
  • Check Clan – to view a friend's Clan profile (appears if the friend is in a Clan).
  •  Delete  – to remove friend from in-game friends (must also be removed from Facebook account friends to disappear from the game).
  • Pin to Top /  Unpin  – to pin the selected friend to the top of the list (40 friends maximum) or unpin them.
  • Check Profile – to check a Player Profile Icon.png Player Profile.
  • Report Report Icon.png – to report a Trainer.
  • Block Block Icon.png – to block a Trainer.

The interaction tag on a friend's listing represents how often the two Trainers interacted based on the previous week. There are three resulting tags, Acquaintance, Familiar Face and Close Friend.

There are three supported major device operating systems (platforms), namely Android, iOS, and Windows, though support is also available for Fire OS. Only Trainers on the same platform and server can see, friend, or interact with each other.

Users on each platform are usually divided into one of two retail servers, namely apa and eur (in some cases, the suffix eur is not displayed). The server is found by pressing the Options Icon.png button, then the     Info     button, followed by the     About     button. The server name then appears below the Save Data Server text. A third server, chn, is available only to Android users in China (iOS and Windows users are still on apa in that country).

Gifting Gifting Icon.png is the act of providing benefits to friends through using an in-game gifting button. Gifts are not deducted from the Trainer's own stockpile, the game generates them.

Gifting options appear at the top of the  Friends Friends tab:

  • Claim All – claims all gifts at once (no limit daily).
  • Gift All – gifts all friends in the friends list at once (limited to the 200 friends appearing in the friends list).
    • Gift All – indicates gifting is unavailable, with a countdown timer specifying hours and minutes until available again.

Gifting is instant, and one of four possible Mystery Gifts Icon.png Mystery Gifts is sent at random:

The amount of Food or Gold awarded depends on Trainer Level, the highest Level Modifier amount is displayed.

Gift Amount
Dragon Pieces Icon.png for Enchantress Dragon Icon.png Enchantress Dragon 1
Portal Energy Icon.png Portal Energy 1
Gold Icon.png Gold 15,000
Food Icon.png Food 1,500

Only 1 Dragon Piece can be received per day. Gifts Icon.png Gifts can be sent only once every 24 hours.

A maximum of 100 gifts can be claimed, and 200 gifts sent, within a 24-hour period. No new gifts are received for claiming, until the reset time, if 100 have already been claimed. For example, if the Trainer did not claim any gifts until the reset period, they receive no new gifts until after the 24-hour period passes. Gifts left unclaimed for 36 hours expire and disappear. On the Claim All button, a counter displays the current total of unclaimed gifts, or displays "99+" when the maximum is reached.

See Messages for more information.

The chances of receiving a particular gift depend on if a Dragon Piece was received that day. When a Dragon Piece has not been obtained, the chance to receive Food Icon.png Food is 18.33%, Portal Energy Icon.png Portal Energy is 20%, Gold Icon.png Gold is 36.67%, and a Dragon Piece Icon.png Dragon Piece is 25%. When a Dragon Piece has been obtained, the chance to receive Food is 24.44%, Portal Energy is 26.67%, and Gold is 49.89%.

Portal Energy

There is no limit of Portal Energy Icon.png Portal Energy a Trainer can have, any gifted Energy is added to the Trainer's pool.

Dragon Hiring

Friends's Dragons can be hired for use in battle on the Campaign Map, including those stronger than the Trainer's own Dragons. After selecting a Campaign Map Quest, the   Hire   button is pressed to access a list of friend's Dragons. From the list, pressing the   Hire   Portal Energy Icon.png button hires the desired Dragon, provided the Trainer has Portal Energy Icon.png Portal Energy and the Dragon has not been rented in the past 24 hours.

Rusty Gates

Friends can also help each other with opening Rusty Gates Icon.png Rusty Gates and with upgrading the Totem of Friendship.

Timer Boosts

Additionally, any visiting Trainer can reduce the timer of an ongoing action by 3 minutes for farms and 5 minutes for other buildings, up to three times per Trainer, for a total of five Trainers per day. Helping is done by tapping a building whenever the Timer Boost Icon.png Timer Boost icon appears above it, even for Trainers who are not friends. Tapping the Timer Boost Direction Icon.png Timer Boost Direction icon when shown at the edge of the display takes the visiting Trainer directly to the next available boost action.

Timer Boosts must be collected by the receiving Trainer to collect the time bonus. The maximum number of boosts received from separate Trainers in 24 hours is 10. As every visitor can perform 3 help actions, the maximum helps received a day is 30.

Toby Avatar.png

Toby is the Trainer's first friend, made available to all Dragon Mania Legends Trainers as part of the in-game tutorial for hiring Dragons. Because of this, he always appears at the top of the Rent-A-Dragon (hiring) list, and is the only cross-platform and cross-server friend. Toby's account is not played by anyone, though his progress is periodically updated by Gameloft to display new content.

The Trainer only has the options to visit Toby's islands and hire his strongest Dragons, he cannot be removed from the friend list and is not counted among the maximum 200 friends a Trainer can have. Furthermore, when opening the first Rusty Gate Icon.png Rusty Gate that requires only one friend, Toby is automatically assigned by the game to help open it. Toby's interaction tag is always Close Friend.

Toby's Dragon

Toby's level, as well as his strongest Dragon, depends on the level range of the Trainer:

Player Toby
Level Range Level Strongest Dragon (Skill Levels)
1-9 Level 9 Agave Dragon - Lv. 8 (2, 2, 0)
10-12 Level 12 Mutant Dragon - Lv. 11 (3, 1, 3)
13-15 Level 15 Golden Crow Dragon - Lv. 14 (3, 0, 3)
16-20 Level 20 Pulsar Dragon - Lv. 16 Enchantment Star.png (3, 5, 6)
Above 20 Level 60 Titan Dragon - Lv. 18 Enchantment Star 1.pngEnchantment Star 1.png - Enchantment Star.png Enchantment Star.png (5)

Adding Friends

Adding friends is done by pressing the Social System Icon.png button on the main screen, pressing the Friends button, then using one of the following options:

  •  Add Friend ⁣ – to enter a Recruitment Code Icon.png Recruitment Code.
    • The code can be typed or pasted from the clipboard using the Paste Code option. The Enter button submits the invitation.
  • By pressing the ••• button, then the Invite buttons from any of the following tabs:
    •  Near Me ⁣ – to find nearby Trainers not already in the Friends list.
    •  Social Log ⁣ – to display the Social Log tab.
    • Suggest Friends⁣ – to display suggested friends not already in the Friends list.
    • Block List⁣ – to displays blocked players and an Unblock button.
  • Invite⁣ – ⁣to invite new Trainers to the game.
  • Connect⁣ – ⁣to connect to Facebook (if not already connected).

Adding friends can also be done outside the Friends feature by:

All friend requests must be accepted before being reflected in-game except Recruitment Codes Icon.png Recruitment Codes used to gain rewards, as the Trainer using the code is automatically added. And only those on the same platform and server can become friends.

Player Profile

Player Profile Icon.png

The Player Profile is an in-game ID displaying information about the Trainer. The profile is accessed by pressing the avatar in the top-left corner of the main screen.

Own Profile

Player Profile Information.png

A Trainer's profile is divided into three sections packed with information as outlined below.

Top Section:

  • Player Profile Icon.png Avatar – which is changed by tapping, then selecting either the no avatar (grayed-out) option, or a currently available Dragon from the Trainer's top 10 Dragons. If no avatar is chosen and the game is connected to Facebook, the Facebook profile picture appears.
  • VIP Level Icon.png VIP Level – which displays if currently active.
  • Change Nickname Icon.png Nickname – which is changed by tapping the field or the Change Nickname Icon.png icon, and entering a new name. Pressing the Random Name button generates a nickname. The   Done   or Done   5 Gems Icon.png buttons confirm the choice. First nickname selection is free, subsequent changes cost 5 Gems Icon.png Gems.
  • Player Level – appears inside a star, the blue progress bar indicates Experience Icon.png Experience accumulated towards the next level.
  • Dragon Collector Points Icon.png Dragon Collector Points – opens a brief explanation of how points are calculated.
  • Little Fire Dragon Icon.png Unique species owned – which is separated with a slash by the total amount of unique species available.
  • Badges Icon.png Badges – displays the current badge if applied, all badges available, and options to   Apply   or   Remove   them.

Middle Section:

  • Hall of Fame Button.png Hall of Fame – opens a display of Experience Icon.png Experience points earned, the features unlocked at each level (if applicable), and the limit of Habitats Icon.png Habitats per level.
  • Clan Icon.png Clan (if applicable) – displays the Clan's Coat of Arms, the Trainer's rank icon (if applicable), Clan League, Clan name, and rank name. Pressing this section displays that Clan's Profile. If the Trainer is not in a Clan, the Clans Icon.png   Join   button appears, and if not yet eligible to join, the requirements appear.

Bottom Section:

Other Profiles

Viewing the profile of other Trainers is done through the Friends interface, the Clan Icon.png Clan Members List, or any leaderboard by pressing the ••• button. Viewing profiles from leaderboards or by visiting requires the Visit button to be pressed, then the Check Profile button. The visibility of a Trainer's profile depends on their privacy settings.

When the Trainer views another Player Profile, this displays almost the same information as their own, the differences being:

  • If the two Trainers are not friends, the Add Friend button appears to send a friend request.
  • The VIP Status Icon.png VIP Status is displayed if active, but level display depends on privacy settings.
  • The Trainer's last online time displays, depending on privacy settings.
  • Pressing the Clan information, while not a member, displays its interface from the perspective of an outsider.
  • Badge collection is only seen if the Trainer has a badge on display.
  • One Trainer cannot view another's Hall of Fame progress.
  • The ••• button provides options to Block Block Icon.png or Report Report Icon.png a player.
  • Checking the Trainer's top Dragon displays its Codex Entry, while the information under the stats is related to the viewing Trainer's own Dragons. Thus, the information indicates whether the viewing Trainer does or doesn't have this Dragon species. If the Dragon is obtainable through Dragon Pieces Icon.png Dragon Pieces, the counter under its image displays the number the viewing Trainer has towards their own.

Near Me

The Near Me tab shows Trainers, who are not necessarily friends of the user, within a nearby range of 1, 10, or 100 kilometers. Depending on privacy settings, options are provided to visit the player's islands, check their Clan or profile, or send them an invitation to add them to the friend list.

Social Log

The Social Log tab lists the last 20 most important social activities performed by other Trainers, such as invitations to a Clan, visits, friend requests, and time boosters. The Trainer can visit another Trainer or check their profile from here. There is also the possibility of pinning a Trainer to the top of the list, although they are pinned at the top of the friend list, not at the top of the Social Log.

Suggest Friends

See Adding Friends above.

Block List

The Block List tab provides a list of all previously blocked Trainers. Once blocked, nothing can be received from that Trainer. Blocking also prevents the Trainer from seeing the player's name, profile, or other information in other areas of the game except the Block List tab. Not seeing a blocked Trainer's information includes on leaderboards or inside Clans, though it does not hide their listing entirely; a generic listing is seen where "Blocked Player" text replaces the Trainer's name, their avatar is replaced by the Block Icon.png icon, other information is removed, and an Unblock button appears on the right of their listing. Pressing the Unblock button instantly unblocks the player. Furthermore, blocked Trainers cannot be visited, their Dragons cannot be seen to be hired, and a blocked Trainer's profile also can't be viewed until they've been unblocked.

Blocking a player is done by pressing the ••• button in any area of the game where Trainer information appears, pressing the Block Block Icon.png button, then confirming the choice by pressing the Yes button.

Unblocking a Trainer is done either in the Block List as explained above, or by pressing the ••• button in any area of the game where Trainer's information appears, then pressing the Unblock button (unblocking is instant after pressing this button).

Reporting a Trainer is done by pressing the ••• button in any area of the game where player information appears, then pressing the Report Report Icon.png button. A Report screen appears with four available checkboxes for report reasons:

  • Checkbox.png Hack/Cheat
  • Checkbox.png Player Name
  • Checkbox.png Player Avatar
  • Checkbox.png Other

A comment box also appears that allows for further comments, or explanations/reasons in the case that the Other option is checked. The Cancel button can be pressed to cancel the report, or the OK button to submit it.

See Clan Non-Member View for information about reporting a Clan.

The Invite option is used to invite new players to install and play the game using Facebook, WhatsApp (if the app is installed), email, and Viber/SMS by selecting the Facebook, WhatsApp,  Send Mail , and   SMS   buttons, respectively.

The Connect prompts the user to connect to Facebook if not yet connected.

Recruit a Friend

Recruit A Friend Button.png

The Recruit a Friend section houses all functions related to recruiting. Recruiting is both a method of adding friends and a means to recruit more players to the game. Trainers who perform successful recruiting earn unique Reward Dragons and other prizes such as Food and Gems. This section also houses Recruit a Friend Milestones.

See Recruiting for complete recruitment information.

Messages Button.png

The Messages option accesses the messaging system, stored under the Messages Icon.png Messages filter option.

From the Messages Icon.png Messages filter option, the Trainer can respond in certain ways depending upon the message received:

  •  Help ⁣ – Pressed to respond to opening Rusty Gate Icon.png Rusty Gate opening or Totem of Friendship upgrade requests.

  • Claim⁣ – To claim Friendship Points Icon.png Friendship Points earned when a friend hires a Dragon.
