Waterlily (and other) Dragon description(s)

You are really getting the hang of these dragon descriptions! I'm loving the thoughtful details and uniqueness you are adding to each description. There is one thing I want to bring to your attention that I think will be helpful for you though. When looking at the dragon image, remember that it is just one side of the dragon and that the other side will mimic or mirror the side you are seeing. For example, for the Waterlily Dragon, you had that it has four horns on the side of its face. If you think of splitting the dragon down the middle, you can tell that the "fourth" horn is actually the topmost horn on the other side of its face/head. So really there are three horns on each side -- the shortest at the cheek, the middle at the temple and the longest on top. I hope I'm explaining this well, if not, please let me know. Now that I look at the Dragon again, you're right that the topmost horn is on the top of its head and not the side. That was an oopsie on my part, thank you for finding and fixing it. I know that you as well as several others on this Wiki tell me that my Dragon descriptions are fabulous, but as you can tell, they're far from perfect. Also, thank you for welcoming me back :D I took a break for a while because I felt like I already wrote descriptions for all the "easy" Dragons, or Dragons I was excited to write about. Most of the Dragons I can find these days were either too complicated or had certain features I didn't know how to describe properly. Hi CrystalClear, it's nice to see you again as well! Sorry for being away for so long. I got burnt out from writing descriptions for so long, so I needed a long break. Another reason why I got tired of writing is because a lot of the dragons I liked writing about are already done, and the remaining dragons are way too complicated. Back during that time, I would start writing a description for a dragon, but then realize "No way, this thing has way too many different colors, patterns, runes, horns, plates, armor, decorations, weird objects I can't even describe, you get the idea. Yeah, I give up." But now I'm back, and I hope to keep writing some new descriptions! Shusserata (talk) 14:16, 3 April 2024 (PDT)

No worries, we all take breaks. :) And yep, I totally get the idea, and I hear you, descriptions are hard for sure. Even getting a simple version in is great, then others can expand on them, but no pressure at all. All contributions are appreciated. One other thing I'd mention, most descriptions added can be edited and improved. There are many descriptions that don't group things in a natural order or flow that aligns with how we tend "look" and "see". I see all wiki editing as a draft to improve upon. With Dragons, the metaphor used can usually be extended or writing made more concise, natural, imaginative, or elegant. Especially for advanced writers (we all have different levels of skill, my own being poor at times, lol). These types of contributions are highly welcomed as well. Essentially, we can all help each other improve a piece of writing, as wiki editing, is endlessly iterative in nature. ;-) | -- CrystalClear -- (talk) 16:04, 17 April 2024 (PDT)
