Synopsis
Seasonal Buff
A buff is typically a strengthening or increasing effect on an in-game character, tool/item, or ability; though in this case, the Seasonal Buff is an item that immediately activates a special Seasonal Treasure Ruins event. The buff is obtained from a major event's non-premium Milestone Rewards (e.g., a Tyrant Island's Talisman Spending Milestone Event), at a particular milestone.
Seasonal Treasure
Seasonal Treasure is a time-limited event that increases ruin exploration rewards, by activating an add-on set of milestone rewards. Thereafter, ruins can continue to be explored and any 
Ruin XP earned is added to the Seasonal Treasure event's milestone progress, in addition to the normal Ruin level/leveling XP count. Ruin XP continues to accumulate in this second milestone rewards counter, until the event ends, when Ruin XP accumulation behavior reverts to normal.
Once the event is activated, a mini Ruin XP progress bar appears at the top-left of the Ruins interface:
990/1000 – Displays the progress towards only the next milestone.- i – Displays the full set of event milestones.
Note: Tapping either the mini progress bar to the next milestone, or its i button, opens the Seasonal Treasure event dialogue.
In the full event milestones, each milestone provides a reward and requires 1,000 Ruin XP to reach. Choosing higher ruin levels and exploration quest difficulty results in more points being awarded, allowing the quest milestones to be reached faster. Exploring all ruins concurrently also maximizes points produced.
