Main Characters

The Dragon Trainer (also known as the player or user of the game) is the main character in the realm of Dragolandia, responsible for making all the important decisions and taking part in all the events and situations of this realm. The Trainer, along with Professor Hogwin and his apprentices, represents the forces of good. They are in a constant fight against the forces of evil (represented by the Vikings and the Tyrants).

The first character to be met in Dragolandia, Arya, is the apprentice of Professor Hogwin. Being very knowledgeable in the raising and care of Dragons, she gives instruction in her areas of expertise before rushing into battle to save the land and Dragons that she loves so dearly.

Edward Bartholomew Hogvanhog is the son of Professor Hogwin. Following the instructions of his father, Ned takes the Dragon Codex to protect it and flees to the Mystic Cave to hide. Once the Mystic Cave entrance is cleared and Ned is found, he helps battle against the Vikings to save his father and reclaim the land.

Professor Hogwin

Dr. Hogwin Hogvanhog, better known as Professor Hogwin, is a world-famous dragonologist and the creator of the Dragon Codex (a book containing detailed information found in his research of all Dragons). Shortly after its creation, Dunkelviking and his followers attacked the Archipelago and kidnapped him in hopes of obtaining the Dragon Codex.

Paola Rodrigo

Despite being a star student at Crysto University, Paola left behind the stifling world of book learning and studies searching for adventure – the only way to truly understand dragons!

She traveled to Numa in the hopes of tracking down a legendary hero and becoming her apprentice for unmatched opportunities for dragon research. Her natural affinity with dragons makes up for her somewhat lack of bravery…

Portia Penanze

Portia Penanze.png

Only a few people will remember the legendary Dragon Trainer Portia Penanze, though once upon a time, she was revered as a hero of the Tyrant Wars thanks to her innate skills in dragon training.

After hearing rumors of aggressive and problematic dragons, Portia has left behind her life of solitude among the remote mountains of Numa to find the lost Tyrant Dragons and help to restore balance to dragonkind everywhere.

Dunkelviking is the Viking leader and the first to be met in battle. After attacking Dragolandia, this villainous Viking kidnaps Professor Hogwin and holds him hostage in an effort to obtain the Dragon Codex.
When he is defeated for good, he gives up the Viking life and turns to one of a bard.
His actual name is Duncan.

Olaf the Pungent

Olaf the Pungent.png

Olaf the Pungent, a dangerously malodorous Viking, is the brother of Dunkelviking.
He tries to create some perfumes, which have a rather foul stank that makes every opponent's eyes water.

Melvin the Malevolent

Melvin the Malevolent.png

Melvin is the brother of the Vikings Olaf, Dunkelviking, and Eliza.
He tries to create a dragon of his own and successfully brings the Mom-Bot into life in the Taller Tower. The Mom-Bot dragon doesn't want to fight, though it makes him give her a foot rub instead.

Eliza the Masculine

Eliza the Masculine.png

Eliza is the sister of Olaf, Melvin, and Dunkelviking.
She pretends to be Dunkelviking's long-lost brother, Eli, so she doesn't have to marry Heinrich.

Gunhilda makes her first appearance in Level 118.
She is the mother of Dunkelviking, Olaf, Melvin, and Eliza.

Brant is a wannabe Viking.
He tries hard to be acknowledged by Gunhilda into her Viking clan, but maybe monkhood is more suitable for him.

Rathorn is the head of the Tyrants.
Professor Hogwin claimed that the Tyrants were not all that evil when they first invaded, as they united Dragolandia and brought useful inventions. They only became tyrannical after succumbing to their greed. Due to their evil tyranny, the Vikings will sometimes team up with Hogwin and his team to fight against the threat of the Tyrants' Dragons.

Heinrich the Hideous

Otto the Dungeon Master

Otto, the Bottomless Dungeon Master, operates the Island Dungeon, the Dungeon Shop, and a lottery in the hot air balloon that floats among the islands in the Archipelago. Otto is a ruthless opponent in the world of Dragolandia, as his unique battle style involves battling with multiple waves of sets of three Dragons, unlike many other characters. His is technically a Tyrant, cousin of Heinrich, yet, he runs a shop and aims to help Trainers prepare for battle.
