Ancient Troublemakers

Ancient Troublemakers was a small island located south of the Main Island that was once again visible between the 9th of October and the 6th of November 2023 for the 13th of the Ancient Events. It was split into two chapters, the first with an Earth theme and the second with a Void theme. The island could also be accessed through the button located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

The Origin of Earth Island returned in Chapter I as the hub for the second iteration of the Ancient Earth Thematic, which took place between the 9th and 23rd of October. The Origin of Void Island returned in Chapter II as the hub for the second iteration of the Ancient Void Thematic, which took place between the 23rd of October and the 6th of November.

The period of time during the appearance of Ancient Troublemakers, the event displayed several menus, the time left for those, as well as its main prize Dragons and Badges. Many Dragons, such as the Dragon of the Month or those from bundles independent of the island and its events, were also displayed among these rewards, even though the method of obtaining said Dragons remained the usual one.

During the whole period of the Ancient Troublemakers events, the Nedertohl Dragon was obtainable, not in a single event, but as a result of the other events in Ancient Troublemakers. To get the Nedertohl Dragon, the Trainer had to complete the Ancient Collection (23/10/09).

Chapter I: Return to Earth

Ancient Collection

Ancient Tickets I

Ancient Tickets were available throughout the first half of the event and had the sole purpose of opening the Ancient Chest. These could be purchased in exchange for Gems or could be obtained from various bundles, from Dragon Dice, from other Events running during the period, and from the Ancient Chest itself.

Ancient Chest I

The Ancient Chest button allowed the Trainer to access the Chest Room, where Tickets could be exchanged to open Ancient Chests. The Ancient Chest button itself displayed either the chest or the main reward Dragon. In the top corner was a i or button that could be pressed to display all possible rewards held in Ancient Chests. It also displayed the number of items awarded for each chest opened, and the information cards also displayed a i button that could be used to bring up the awarding stats.

Ancient Altar I

During the first half of the event, the following items were available in the Altar.

Talisman are a form of currency that can be spent only at the Ancient Altar in exchange for Dragon Pieces.

• For the first two weeks 9 - 23 October, the returning Earth Ancient Tezacueva and the new Ancient: Babylonian were available.
• Throughout the entire event, the returning Void Ancient Adatz was available provided the Talisman Generator was purchased.

Premium milestone Rewards were only activated through the purchase of the event's currency generator. Once activated, additional Milestone Rewards became available.

Dragon Board

It's no good, Caltrevas. There are no trees immense enough to nibble around here; only cactuses and tumbleweeds! Cactuses have their own merit, Nidhogg. That aside, this is the time and place of my kin's longest reign, so it is wonderful to me! Yes, we are in the time of the Ancient Earth Tribe! I missed their moment of glory by many thousands of years, as I was still asleep deep within the earth... What nonsense is this? You claim to be one of us, but I have never seen you... And worse yet, you claim that the reign of the Earth Ancients will end?! Erm... perhaps if you gave me a moment to explain, sibling-- Feh! We'll talk with our claws, "sibling"! Polveles... what's this I hear about a new member of our tribe? It's simply an interloper playing pretend... nothing to worry about. We should be focusing on making sure the little scaleless humans of the New Dragolandian Settlement are behaving. Normally I would agree with you... but I think Caltrevas deserves a bit of our time. And, for what it's worth, the scaleless have been VERY well behaved -- courtesy of ME, and certainly no thanks to YOU! What?! Why can't you understand that FEAR is a far better motivator than your dull instruction? At least my wind helps the scaleless with their little crops... sometimes! Grrrr... You are so terribly annoying! No wonder all the dragons in the Settlement want a duel with you. Myself included! Not again! Just how many new faces am I going to encounter today? Well, get in line, stranger, and let us battle. I'd love the chance to show you my might. But while you battle in the interest of division, I battle to unite our fractured kin! Our kin? Please don't tell me... you're ANOTHER member of the Ancient Earth Tribe? I am, odd as it may be. I believe we should welcome young Caltrevas into our fold. Its power will help us remain strong for thousands of cycles to come. Pah! None of my kin have any sense. I'll battle you in the interest of shutting your snout! Have it your way, master of winds. I love a good conflict! You again! I thought I had driven you away for good... If it were up to me, I would blow this entire useless Settlement off the map, and you with it! ... It's no small wonder us Ancients have such a terrible reputation in the future, far and near. Dragon dung! Our power will be spoken of, in mighty song and terrified whimper, for countless cycles! How sad... You simply don't understand. It would do you well to calm yourself... perhaps after you hibernate. Hibernate? I don't know the meaning of the word. You will, soon enough! Even if you do defeat me -- at least I'll give you a tough time until then!

Dragon Board

There it is -- the fearsome E'mun, the Ancient Void Dragon of Fire! We've finally tracked it down... It's the only member of the Ancient Void Tribe we've been able to find in this place, unfortunately... but it's our duty to defeat it, for the good of all. Perhaps finding just one is for the best. These Ancients are powerful, and we cannot hope to reason with the Void Tribe. I'm relieved we haven't seen Nihl, or Solum! ... ... ... Careful! It has its eerie eyes trained on us! Prepare for a battle, Ranger! I-I can't help but be a little frightened... but no matter what happens to us, many dragons have allied to stop you, E'mun -- including other Ancients! I'll be fair and wish you "good luck"! (You... you are like me...?) (You can understand me... Yes. We must be alike.) (You are small and weak. Many dragons want to destroy things like us.) (You come with me. I will protect you. Soon we will be reunited in spirit in the Void.) (I am not so weak. I will prove it to you!) (We will battle to know each other. Then I will come with you, and see this world.) What a terrible place I've awoken in... I suppose hibernation is as unpredictable as it is restful. I wonder if Polveles and the rest of my kin will wake up here as well, or perhaps someplace in the future, or the past... Whatever the case, I see other Ancients have united against you... so I will follow suit. ... ... ... Not very talkative are you? I can't understand a thing you say or think. Are you even an Ancient like us? Perhaps I'll find out with a battle! Finally, I meet one of the original Void Ancients...! Please don't be frightened -- I just want to understand you. I believe I hear the voices of your kind in my head. But it's all indecipherable to me. It disturbs me. I've found just one other Void Ancient who seems to understand me... (The Wind Ancient Nulvind is talking about me. I have the burden of being the translator between us Void-born and the others. It's annoying, but Nulvind desires peace.) (I'm afraid.
