The event took place during the An Ancient Celebration Ancient event series.

Dragon Dice events are limited-time competitions with individual goals and battle story content. Trainers roll two dice to move spaces on the game board, collecting keys to open chests for different rewards.

Mechanics

Trainers work individually, using Event Currency to buy the dice rolls required to move around the board, collecting Dragon Pieces and other prizes from chests.

Event Currency

Birthdaystone Icon.png

Every 6 hour cycle (from event start) a set amount of currency, called Birthdaystone Icon.png Birthdaystones, is earned by doing various tasks. Each roll of the dice costs a number of Birthdaystones.

Tasks

Earning Event Currency (no Limit).jpg

There are 6 different tasks that earn Birthdaystone Icon.png Birthdaystones. A limit of 200 can be earned per task within a 6-hour period, totaling 1,200 per pool.

Important Icon.png Birthdaystones are earned by collecting Gold (only when the Gold Yellow-Bordered Gold Icon.png icon appears above a Habitat), harvesting Food from Farms (on collecting, not planting), Breeding Dragons (on pressing the Breed button, not on hatching), Feeding Dragons, winning Battles, and catching Flying Creatures. The i button provides information about each task.

  1. These values are calculated based on perfect cycles, assuming that there is no loss of time in between re-planting Food. However, one must take into account that collecting and planting Food does consume a certain amount of time, which depends on the Trainer's speed, therefore, the amounts will vary (lower than shown).
Points for Breeding Dragons

The maximum amount of Birthdaystone that can be received from a task in this event is 200 Birthdaystone Icon.png, thus, no higher number can be obtained. Any values over 200 are merely representative.

The listed Dragons are maximum two examples for breeding - there may be more than two available breeding options.
If only one Dragon is listed, this is the only option.

  1. Recommended Offspring indicates those Normally-Breedable Dragons with guaranteed combinations as well as Base Dragons that share the specified breeding time. It is suggested to breed these to obtain Birthdaystone Icon.png because there is at least one combination that will result only in the desired outcome, avoiding unwanted offspring with breeding times different than the one looked after.
  2. Other Dragons include Normally-Breedable Dragons that share the specified breeding time with the exception of Dragons with guaranteed combinations and Base Dragons. Dragons with breeding times over 18 hours non-VIP are not shown, as obtaining them will award the maximum of 200 Birthdaystone Icon.png within the highest level. They take longer to breed, but yield the same amount of Birthdaystone Icon.png as shorter options, making them a less efficient alternative.

Gameboard

Dragon Dice Board (Wind).jpg

The Trainer is provided a pair of dice. Rolling these costs a set amount of Birthdaystone Icon.png Birthdaystones, and both dice are rolled together. With each roll, the Trainer selects which one (die) of the two outcomes to use first, to progress around the game board. The second die roll can then be used to move again.

Tile & Key Types

The goal is to land on specific colored tiles that give the matching Key type. When 3 of the same color Keys are collected, it opens the matching Chest type.

Epic Epic Epic Tile Icon.png Epic Key Icon.png Dragon Dice Chest (Epic).png
Ancient Ancient Ancient Tile Icon.png Ancient Key Icon.png Dragon Dice Chest (Ancient).png

Additionally, there are 3 checkpoints across the board that, when passed through, trade all unused Keys accumulated for Birthdaystone Icon.png Birthdaystones. However, landing on a checkpoint first awards the Key of the Trainer's choice, then converts the leftover Keys into Event Currency. Completing one full lap of the Dragon Dice Board awards 1 of each Chest type for free, and gives 5 (single) die rerolls to use any time within the duration of the next lap.

Chest Types

The 3 Chest types contain content relevant to their type, which may include Birthdaystone Icon.png Birthdaystones, Silver Horn Icon.png Silver Horns, Dragon Pieces Icon.png Dragon Pieces, or Enchantment Materials. Once all pieces for a Dragon are collected, the chests providing these offer alternate prizes.

Rolls and Rerolls

A die can be rerolled, for free, up to 5 times in each lap. After using up the 5 free rerolls, each subsequent reroll costs Event Currency. Most importantly, using a die value of six gives 2 Keys of the tile type landing on, including checkpoint tiles, which would give 2 Keys of the Trainer's choice.

Double Dice
Double Dice Icon.png

Double Dice Meter Example.png

When two dice of the same value (doubles) are rolled, a Double Dice point is given. Each roll of doubles accumulates in the Double Dice meter, until the Trainer is eligible to enter combat in the battle story. The Double Dice meter count is reset to a new goal only after the battle is won.

Battle Story

Upon filling the Double Dice Meter, reaching the level's required amount, the Trainer is prompted to enter a Double Trouble battle. Completing such battles awards event Tickets and unfolds the Battle Story, which usually ends with obtaining a unique Dragon or Badge. Skipping the battle in exchange for Birthdaystone Icon.png Birthdaystones is also possible.

Dialogues

Nulvind Dragon Icon.png What a strange journey I went on... it all feels like a dream now. I met other Void-born, like me, in another world. But now I'm back where I belong. How did it happen...?
Nulvind Dragon Icon.png I only spoke with them for a short while, but I have so many questions left unanswered. How did I get there? And why are Ancients I've never seen before popping up in Sky City? How troublesome...
Birthday Dragon Icon.png Wow, your brow looks as stormy as a storm cloud!
Nulvind Dragon Icon.png Eh...? Who are you? Why are you approaching me?
Birthday Dragon Icon.png Because you look so sad, and you should be celebrating! There's so much to party about! Nine whole years, in fact!!!
Nulvind Dragon Icon.png You are a strange little creature, and I am busy pondering important things! This is no time for celebration... Begone with you already!

Polveles Dragon Icon.png Hoho! To think I'd ever meet fellow beings of wind... and they'd all be such weaklings! They're like those things humans are so fond of wiping their hind paws upon... Err...doormats! That's it!
Polveles Dragon Icon.png The Ancient Wind Tribe are a bunch of doormats! I should take over this floating pile of vapor and show them what a REAL master of wind can do--
Polveles Dragon Icon.png Huh...? What are you staring at, you strange little thing?
Birthday Dragon Icon.png You're spoiling the party! You're totally harshing the vibes!
Polveles Dragon Icon.png What? What party?!
Birthday Dragon Icon.png I'll teach you how to be a proper party guest! Now pick up a party popper and a party hat and prepare to be party pummeled!

Varapara Dragon Icon.png Ahh, another peaceful day in Sky City... I've only just arrived, but I must say, my kin in the Ancient Wind Tribe have made me feel quite welcome!
Varapara Dragon Icon.png Alas, they've seemed so distracted lately... I suppose strange things have been happening-- Oh!
Varapara Dragon Icon.png You there, little dragon! Did my kin send you to celebrate my new arrival? How exciting!
Birthday Dragon Icon.png Um... I don't know who you are, but it's not YOUR birthday, it's Dragon Mania Legends' birthday! It's nine years old!
Varapara Dragon Icon.png D-Dragon Mania...? What in the great blue sky are you talking about? SURELY my arrival is a greater cause for celebration than... WHATever or WHOever that is!
Birthday Dragon Icon.png Hmmm... I don't think you really get it. Let me show you the super-fun power of Dragon Mania Legends!

Haumi Dragon Icon.png There you are! Sorry to leap at you like this, little one, but my kin don't seem to be in the partying mood. They've called on me to... um... resolve the issue...
Haumi Dragon Icon.png While I thank you for dispatching with that ornery Polveles, I wonder if you could perhaps celebrate a bit more... peacefully?
Birthday Dragon Icon.png Hmm... well, you're nice, so I'll hear you out. But how do you mean, "peacefully"? Who ever heard of a peaceful party?!
Haumi Dragon Icon.png Right, right. Sky City does LOVE a celebration, but perhaps we can go about it another way. Here, would you like to give out my enchanted seeds as party favors?
Haumi Dragon Icon.png If you pass them all around, the land will be full of lush forests, and then we'll have even MORE to celebrate!
Birthday Dragon Icon.png You know what? That DOES sound like a party! Okay, I'll do it. But first, let's celebrate right here, right now, with a mega-exciting party-ful battle!

History

  • Update 7.8: A bug occurred during the Dragon Board (24/01/26) event on February 1st, resulting in the reset of event currency and Double Trouble progress. A campaign of 57,000 Birthdaystone Icon.png Birthdaystones was provided as compensation. Some players reported issues receiving the compensation, these players were advised to wait a bit longer to receive it, but that if it was not received by the next day, to please notify Customer Care to have the amount resent. Players with other specific cases related to this issue, or related to Birthdaystones, were advised to contact in-game Customer Care.
    • The event appeared as a duplicate on February 2nd, doubling the quest rewards while making the compensation disappear for some players and causing a ruckus on social media. Reimbursing the correct affected players proved more difficult than expected, leaving some without any and others with double amounts of additional Birthdaystones.
    • The remaining players who lacked compensation were compensated on February 8th, and the duplicate event entries disappeared when the event ended.
